Are your Chakras Blocked?

If you have been experiencing health problems, it could be something that maybe you had not previously considered: a blocked chakra. But what does that mean, exactly?

Well, a chakra is a Sanskrit word that means “wheel.” Chakra is commonplace in traditional Eastern medicine, where it is believed that your body contains seven major chakras or “energy wheels” to keep your body functioning properly.

Chakra

These chakras are believed to be the driving force for keeping your physical, mental, and spiritual health in balance. Knowing each of the different chakra types is important for understanding how they have an impact on your body and mind and what you can do to get them better balanced.

If you experience a number of different physical, emotional, or spiritual problems, it could be something like a blocked Chakra. Understanding the symptoms and signs of a blocked Chakra are important; some of these can lead to serious health problems that you do not want to ignore due to the potential hazards.

Here are the seven different Chakras and what each of them do in relation to your body, mind, and spirit.

Root Chakra

Root Charka

Your Root Chakra is generally tied to issues in your torso or for emotional issues. When your Root Chakra is blocked, you might find yourself more susceptible to things like lower back pain, colon issues, and varicose veins. These can bring with them a wide range of physical ailments, some of which are more serious than others.

There is also a belief that your Root Chakra can be tied to emotional issues that center around survival and money. The latter is something that we all stress about at one time or another, which can have drastic effects on our emotional, spiritual and physical health.

There are a few things that you might want to take into consideration that could center around your Root Chakra: are you constipated often? Do you feel fatigued regularly? Would you say that others describe you as “spacey” or “ungrounded”? If the answer to any of these is “yes”, getting your Root Chakra balanced could be the key.

Sacral Chakra

Sacral Chakra

There are a few things that are most commonly tied to your Sacral Chakra. Things like hip pain, sexual dysfunction, arthritis, and infertility issues are most commonly associated with your Sacral Chakra. These things can all lead to a huge level of stress that can greatly affect you across the board.

The questions that you should be asking yourself about your Sacral Chakra are: do you wish your sex life was different? Do you feel creatively blocked more often than not? Do you have painful menstruation or issues with your reproductive organs? Centering your Sacral Chakra could be the key to alleviating these issues.

Solar Plexus Chakra

Solar Plexus Chakra

With your Solar Plexus Chakra, you are more likely to develop issues with your “gut” than anything else. Things like ulcers, general stomach issues, problems with your liver, and eating disorders are commonly associated with this Chakra.

You may also find that you are having difficulties with your confidence levels as well if your Solar Plexus Chakra is unbalanced. When you have confidence issues, you might not think clearly or will second guess everything that you do.

Ask yourself these questions: do you have issues with your digestion? Do your blood sugar levels fluctuate regularly? Do you struggle when it comes to your will power or self-esteem? If so, your Solar Plexus Chakra could be unbalanced.

Heart Chakra

Heart Chakra

This is one of the most important Chakras because it can lead to a variety of dangerous conditions. Your Heart Chakra can relate to things like asthma, allergies, heart problems, or lung disease. None of these are to be trifled with; they can be deadly.

If you think that your Heart Chakra is something that is not only unbalanced but leading to health issues, you might want to ask yourself: does intimacy frighten you? Is it difficult for you to show empathy towards someone who is going through a hard time? Do you have high blood pressure or heart disease?

If so, you surely will want to address your Heart Chakra immediately to prevent these issues from compounding.

Throat Chakra

Throat Chakra

When your Throat Chakra is out of balance, you may find that you have communication issues as well as esophageal or mouth problems. When your Throat Chakra is blocked, you could also find yourself experiencing thyroid issues as well.

When it comes to your Throat Chakra, you would want to ask the following questions: is it hard for you to express your feelings to others? Do you feel like your heart and mind live apart from one another in two different worlds? Do you have sore throats often or any thyroid issues? Address your Throat Chakra right away if any of those are correct.

Third Eye Chakra

Third Eye Chakra

This Chakra can have an influence on quite a few things. Your hormone levels, eyesight, pituitary gland, intelligence, and intuition can all be affected when this Chakra finds itself blocked. When your glands or hormones are off, this can change your overall behavior and have a vast effect on your body.

Ask yourself these questions: do you experience headaches often? Do you have poor intuition generally speaking? Do you have a tendency to feel depressed or have hormonal imbalances? If you answer “yes” to any of these questions, your Third Eye Chakra may have become blocked.

Crown Chakra

Crown Chakra

This is more of a spiritual Chakra than anything else. Your Crown Chakra is tied to things like insomnia and spiritual discomfort. When you aren’t sleeping well, your body does not function in the way that it should. A lack of sleep can have vast cognitive effects as well, severely hindering the way that you think and communicate.

Questions that you should be asking yourself include: is it difficult to meditate? Do you have difficulty when it comes to your sleep/wake cycles? Do you feel disconnected from others as well as your own body? Your Crown Chakra may be blocked if you answer “yes” to any of these questions.
